Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
* 52-bed emergency department with an average patient ratio of 3:1, low acuity 5:1, and team nursing for pediatric patients
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
* Perform typical emergency department procedures including IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
* Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced emergency department environment
* Scan patient and medications every time as per unit expectations
* Work with Alaris equipment and Meditech EMR system
* Minimum 1 year of current ED RN experience required
* Active Kansas nursing licensure required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, CPI Blue card
* Meditech experience preferred
* Experience in a 52-bed ER or larger preferred

The department operates around the clock with dedicated teams per pod, including charge nurses, staff nurses, technicians, unit clerks, physicians, and midlevel providers.
