Opportunity:

RN - L&D/PP

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* No on-call requirement
* Holidays worked in rotation with permanent staff
* Float between Postpartum and Labor & Delivery - experience with both required
* Must be able to circulate for C-sections
* Treats patients 34 weeks and above, including high-risk deliveries
* Birth plans are very important and closely followed by the patient population
* Facility sees approximately 55 births per month
* Unit consists of 9 L&D beds and 4 Postpartum beds
* Follows AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
* Charge nurses available and do not carry a patient assignment
* OB tech support available on both day and night shifts
* Fetal monitoring system: Fetal Link
* Charting system: Cerner
* Telemetry system: Philips
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* First to float on every other weekend
* Floor-specific orientation: 3 shifts
* Minimum 2 years of experience in L&D/PP required
* Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers will not be considered
* Required certifications: ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP

This acute care facility offers a dedicated Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit with a strong emphasis on personalized patient care and adherence to birth plans. The unit is supported by respiratory therapy available 24/7, an on-call OB and neonatologist, and OB tech support around the clock. The organization maintains high standards of maternal care following AWHONN guidelines and utilizes modern technology to support clinical staff in delivering safe, quality outcomes for mothers and newborns.
