Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* 13-week contract
* 36 hours per week guaranteed
* Block scheduling
* Every other weekend required
* Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays
* Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (based on unit details)
* Float required within ICU only, based on staffing and unit needs
* Patient ratio: 1:2-3 critical care; 1:4-6+ if floated
* Unit beds: 15 MICU, 12 SICU, 13 CCU
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient mix includes vents, post-surgical, cardiac post-cath, and neuro/stroke post-TNK patients
* PCTs/CNAs available on unit for RN support
* Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Scrub color: Navy blue
* Special equipment: CVVHD
* 1.5+ years of acute care experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Stroke CEUs
* Required skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation/paralytics, among others
