Job Details:
* On-call required once per week and once per weekend on a 6-week schedule
* Weekends required for on-call only
* Block schedules are not required
* Expected patient ratio is 1:1
* Must be able to scrub all cardiac procedures
* Washington state license must be in hand at time of submission
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of recent cardiac experience required - this is a hard stop requirement
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Scrub color: any color
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT, and Washington state license
* Must be proficient in a wide range of cardiac and vascular procedures including CABG, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, Mitral Valve Replacement, VAD, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, and robotic cardiac surgery
* Additional procedural skills include Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery, VATS, Pericardial Window, Cardiomyoplasty, Atrial Septal Defect Repair, and Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start
Facility:
This facility is a Short Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 total staffed beds. It is a teaching hospital offering highly specialized Cardiothoracic and Vascular operating room services. Procedures range from basic CABG to robotic Mitral Valve repair, with additional specialization in pediatric congenital heart patients, TAVR procedures, and heart transplants. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers free parking on-site.
