Opportunity:

STICU RN Position

Job Details:

* Work in a 20-bed Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU)
* Maintain patient ratio of 1:2
* Required to work 6 weekend shifts on a 6-week schedule
* Modified self-scheduling available
* Dress code requires all navy or all white scrubs, or navy bottoms with white top
* Float to other ICUs (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down units as needed
* Work with advanced equipment including EVDs, Camino/bolts, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, GE Carescape bedside monitors, GE ventilators, iCool machines, Blanketrol blanket, Bair Hugger, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and Alaris PCA pumps
* Use Cerner Power Chart documentation system
* Perform procedures including intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, Foley placement, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration, trach placement, EVD/bolt placement, CRRT/HD, irrigation and debridement, and minor surgery
* Must have acute care ICU skills with trauma ICU and surgical ICU experience required
* Required certifications: Valid Nursing License, Active ACLS and BLS Certifications
* Must be a team player with positive attitude and flexibility
