Opportunity:

RN - Tele/NEURO

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend schedule required
* Holiday coverage assigned on a rotation basis
* Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 during the 7:00 AM shift and 1:6 during the 7:00 PM shift
* Nurse aides and patient care technicians (PCTs) are available with a ratio of 12-15 patients per PCT
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
* Floating requirement in place; travelers may be placed on call as a last resort
* Unit-specific orientation consists of 3 shifts
* Provide care for patients with cardiac, neurological/stroke, and seizure diagnoses
* Required to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem
* Responsible for reading own cardiac strips each shift using GE telemetry monitors (virtual telemetry monitoring, no on-unit Tele/Monitor Techs)
* Respiratory therapy equipment includes High Flow and BiPAP devices used for less than 24 hours; RNs are not required to manage beyond troubleshooting
* Charting system: EPIC
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
* Neurological care experience required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 32-bed Telemetry and Neurology unit providing specialized care for patients with cardiac, neurological, and seizure-related diagnoses. The unit maintains a charge nurse on every shift and utilizes a comprehensive care team including Licensed Practical Nurses and patient care technicians. The facility employs advanced virtual telemetry monitoring and modern respiratory therapy equipment to support high-quality patient outcomes.
