Job Details:

* Work 8-hour shifts, with willingness to consider 10-hour shifts for PT travelers
* Scheduled shifts on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* Acute care setting serving an adult and geriatric inpatient population
* Float between inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings as needed
* OT responsibilities include inpatient, outpatient, and home health coverage with a strong hand therapy component
* ST responsibilities require primary outpatient coverage with geriatric and pediatric experience; Vital Stim experience preferred, with as-needed inpatient support
* PT responsibilities focus on inpatient acute hospital care
* Common diagnoses include orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary complications for inpatient; outpatient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics
* Off-site outpatient center located 2.5 miles away (approximately 8-minute drive) serves all three disciplines
* OT and ST provide home health services on Tuesdays and Fridays, with ST on an as-needed basis
* Facility uses Cerner EMR (upgraded version)
* Weekend shifts follow a split schedule for PT travelers (Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday through Wednesday)
* No holiday requirements
* Dress code: Burgundy polo or long sleeve shirt, black pants, and appropriate shoes
* General department orientation with skills checklist and assigned clinician provided
* Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and California state license for PT, OT, or ST
* BSN not required

This acute care hospital operates with 189 beds, including a 20-bed ICU, 34-bed telemetry unit, medical and surgical floors, and a 33-bed mother and baby unit, with an average census of 150 patients. The facility holds JCAHO certification for stroke care, a Total Joint Program for elective hips and knees, and features an early mobility program including ventilator early mobility at level 2. The therapy department is well-supported with a robust team of inpatient and outpatient therapists, therapy aides, PTAs, COTAs, and a dedicated leadership team including a Director of Rehabilitation Services. Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services are available 24/7, and the ICU is supported by hospitalists, residents, and telemedicine intensivists.
