Opportunity:

RN - Cardiopulmonary Telemetry and Neuro

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend requirement
* First to float, with possibility of floating to a sister facility
* Patient ratio of 1:3-4
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (within the past 6 months)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Must be able to interpret EKGs; centralized telemetry monitoring
* Experience with Airvo/High Flow vents required
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Navy
* BSN not required
* Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (maximum 2 attempts, no exceptions)
* Pass/fail Simulation Lab on day one of orientation (study guides provided)
* 2 days of floor-specific orientation
* Common diagnoses include neuro, CVAs, pulmonary, and general telemetry patients
* Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night
* Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive inpatient services across a wide range of specialties. The cardiopulmonary telemetry and neuro unit consists of 26 beds and is supported by a dedicated charge nurse without a patient assignment, patient care technicians, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and 24/7 pharmacy services. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic charting system and maintains high standards of patient care across its specialized units.
