Opportunity:
Sterile Processing Tech
Job Details:
* 5x8 night shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekend requirements
* No on-call responsibilities required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required, with preference for 2 years of experience
* Required certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
* Charting system experience required
* Must be proficient with cleaning equipment including crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps
* Must be experienced in High-Level Disinfection (HLD)
* Must be experienced in use of washers and sterilizers
* Must be proficient in case cart management and proper selection of wrapping materials
* Must be experienced in sterilization wrapping procedures and sets/trays assembly
* Must be experienced in equipment documentation
* Must have experience in Acute Hospital OR settings
* Specialty procedure experience required includes: Ear/Nose/Throat, General, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Urology
* Must be proficient with biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing and monitoring, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
* All requested time off must be included at time of submittal
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

This short-term acute care facility operates with 325 staffed beds and utilizes EPIC for charting. The facility provides a comprehensive range of medical services and supports a dynamic sterile processing department serving multiple surgical specialties.
