RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Every-other-weekend requirement with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday considered weekend shifts
* Must be flexible and work into the permanent staff holiday rotation schedule
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 with 2 RNs staffed 24/7 and a 3rd RN in triage from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
* Average of 30 patients per day with a maximum capacity of 10 beds
* Charting system: EPIC
* Work with Phillips hard-wired and central station monitors, as well as portable Physio-Control monitors
* Occasional ventilator management with 6 vents available, as well as BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow equipment
* Scrubs currently provided by the facility with no set color requirement
* 1 to 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation depending on experience
* No floating unless qualified and in agreement to do so
* Treat typical ER patients ranging from mild to severe conditions including CVAs and STEMIs
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and NIHSS
* Must reside within a 50-mile radius
* Must include a copy of an unexpired driver's license with submission
* Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a fully equipped emergency department with 8 beds, 2 additional hallway stretchers, and 1 fast track triage room. The facility offers 24/7 respiratory therapy, in-house pharmacy coverage, and around-the-clock nursing administrator support. The emergency department is supported by physicians and mid-level providers, ER technicians, and a House Supervisor, ensuring comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of conditions.
