Job Details:

* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Night shifts available; straight nights may be accepted, straight days will not be accepted
* Weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 27 rooms and 34 beds on the unit
* 12-hour orientation provided
* Pre-approved time off: two requests allowed
* Cerner charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* BLS certification required (AHA only)
* Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
* Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
* Active PA or Compact license required
* Two supervisor references preferred
* Patients include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include medical non-monitored conditions
* Special procedures include post-op joint replacement, post-op weight loss management surgery, and post-op general surgery
* Required skills include but are not limited to: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, feeding tube care, heparin administration, insulin administration, IV management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
