Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hours per week with guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Weekend rotation required
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required with IV start experience
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratios of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 12-bed ICU unit with a daily census of 8 patients
* Patients include adult and geriatric age groups
* Charting system: Meditech required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Scrub color: Any color; OR/L&D/Cath Lab scrubs are provided
* Parking is free
* Must be willing to float to other units if short staffed
* No block scheduling greater than 3 or 4 shifts
* Any RTO must be approved and documented prior to start of assignment
* Expect to work some holidays
* Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drain (EVD), High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), ICP monitoring, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), IV insulin protocols, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Sheath Removal, Starting and maintaining IVs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
* Interdisciplinary support includes: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary

This acute care hospital is a Level 3 Trauma Center with 149 total staffed beds. The facility supports a comprehensive ICU unit with 12 beds and robust interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy support.
