Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Every other weekend schedule required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 12 orientation hours required
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
* All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission - no schedule requests accepted post offer or on-site
* No requested time off permitted during orientation week (Monday through Sunday)
* If one or two major holidays fall during assignment, no holiday time off can be requested
* If three major holidays fall during assignment, one holiday time off request may be considered
* Expected to work major holidays that fall within assignment period
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Additional preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP, FHM
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, drug overdose management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, managing violent behavior, neuro-trauma, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
* Patients served include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* 43-bed emergency department unit
* Travel pairs are not accepted on this unit
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission

This facility is a community hospital with a fully equipped emergency department serving a diverse patient population across all age groups. The emergency department operates with a 43-bed unit and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility is both STEMI and stroke certified, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, specialized emergency care.
