Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* Seasonal travel RN position in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
* Night shift hours from 3:30 PM to 4:00 AM
* Float staff between multiple PACU locations including Main/Surgical Robotics and Orthopedic units
* Total of 59 bays across all units including Pre-Op and PACU combined
* Night shift staffed with 2 RNs
* Patient ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients; same-day surgery patients may have up to 3 at a time, staffed per ASPAN standards
* Work with GE Monitors and Meditech EMR system
* Pre-op and recover patients who receive anesthesia
* High neuro volume including stroke patients, interventional radiology, TAVRs, and critical care overflow
* Procedures include spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joints, GYN, and robotics cases
* Minimum 1 year of current PACU hospital experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Preferred experience: stroke care and critical care
* Ideal candidate is flexible and outgoing

This facility is a well-established healthcare organization featuring multiple PACU units with a combined total of 59 bays across Pre-Op and PACU settings. The unit is staffed by approximately 70 team members including RNs and patient care technicians, and maintains a high employee satisfaction rate of 91%. The facility upholds ASPAN standards for patient care and utilizes modern equipment and technology to support a wide range of surgical specialties.
