Backfill for Pamela Stonewall

Job Details:

* Day/Evening rotator shift with schedule options including 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, or 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, or straight evenings
* Weekend call scheduled in 8-hour blocks: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
* Up to 4 weeknight calls and 2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
* No float required
* Call required on weeknights and weekends
* 22 operating rooms within the unit
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
* General OR and Trauma experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS and CAC
* EPIC charting system experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Specialties include orthopedics (joint, oncology, trauma, hand/foot, sports medicine), general surgery (surgical oncology, acute care, hepatobiliary, endocrine), urology, plastics, ophthalmology, and interventional pulmonary
* Special equipment includes DaVinci Surgical System, laparoscopic equipment, Stryker, Storz integration, variety of orthopedic implants and specialty beds, O-arm, C-arm, and Censitrac instrument scanning
* Required skills include but are not limited to: scrubbing trauma, orthopedic, robotic, general, plastics, and urology surgeries, Da Vinci robotics, Mako Surgical System, Hana Table, laparoscopic assisted cases, total joint replacement, and wound management
* Michigan nursing license must be in-hand at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
* 2 supervisory references required (charge references not accepted)
* No requested time off during first week of contract
* Traveler pairs are not accepted
* Locals accepted at the same rate

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, and interventional pulmonary. The operating environment is equipped with advanced technology including robotic surgical systems, laparoscopic equipment, and specialized orthopedic tools. Interdisciplinary support services include interpretation services, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support.
