Opportunity:

Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech

Job Details:

* Day shift position with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* On-call required with 8-10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage
* Work in a 2-room Cardiac Catheterization Lab
* Perform procedures including pediatric/adult transplant right/left heart biopsy, balloon, stent, and valve placement
* May also perform interventional radiology procedures, preferably pediatric
* Experience with Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab preferred; EP experience also preferred
* Treat congenital heart patients and perform heart cath procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, and cardiac stent placement
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: PALS, BLS, and ACLS (American Heart Association only)
* CCI with RCIS/RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also acceptable
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Charting system: EPIC
* Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to equal 1 shift
* Block scheduling available at manager's discretion
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of candidate submission
* Travelers should be aware that all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 865 total staffed beds. The organization provides comprehensive cardiac care services including advanced pediatric catheterization procedures and interventional radiology. The facility maintains high standards of patient care and utilizes EPIC as its primary charting system, supporting a multidisciplinary approach to treating complex cardiac conditions including congenital heart disease.
