Job Details:

* Shifts alternate between 6:30 AM?5:00 PM and 9:00 AM?8:00 PM throughout the schedule
* On-call requirement includes 2 48-hour weekends and 14 weekday shifts per 6-week schedule
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Travelers may be required to make up missed shifts during the same week or at the end of the assignment
* Floating required between two campuses approximately 12 miles apart (15?20 minute drive); travelers are first to float
* Minimum 2 years of cardiac and vascular experience required
* Level 2 trauma center experience with trauma patients required
* Scrub experience in cardiac and vascular required; scrub experience in general, urology, and ortho highly preferred
* Cardiac procedures include: Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, TAVR, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), and Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery
* Vascular procedures include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortocaval fistula repair, Aortoenteric fistula repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Arteriovenous malformation surgery, Atherectomy, Carotid angioplasty, artery stenting and Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Renal artery bypass surgery, and TEVAR
* Cerner charting system experience preferred
* Hospital scrubs provided
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA (CST), or NCCT
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted with applicable rate differential

Facility:

This facility is a 323-bed hospital and home to a comprehensive cardiothoracic surgery, structural heart, and advanced heart failure program. The Heart & Lung Institute performs advanced cardiac procedures including CABG, valve surgery, and TAVR. The health system operates two hospital campuses and provides interdisciplinary support services including interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support.
