Job Details:

* 13 or 20-week assignment length available
* Night shift schedule working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
* No on-call requirements
* Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend and is subject to staffing needs
* May float to like units to meet facility needs
* Block scheduling is not available
* Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Oncology experience preferred but not required
* Experience with chemotherapy administration preferred
* Patient ratio is 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available
* Required certification: BLS
* Required skills: Med/Surg, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the submittal process
* Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must be in hand for auto offer

With 407 total staffed beds and a robust interdisciplinary support system, this facility is committed to delivering high-quality patient care. The oncology unit consists of 46 beds with a daily census of 46 patients and offers comprehensive support services to both staff and patients.
