Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
* Holiday coverage required
* No call, charge, or float responsibilities
* Block scheduling available if requested at time of profile submittal
* 13-week contract
* Must reside within 75-mile radius
* 2+ years of experience required; 5 years of ED experience preferred
* Small ED experience preferred
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 40 with 9 rooms and 9 beds
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Scrub color: Burgundy
* Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, WV License, NIHSS, TNCC
* Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP
* Required skills: IV start, triage, arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, chest tube management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, interpretation of ABGs, management of dysrhythmias, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and general emergency department combined adult/pediatric care
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy

Facility:

This emergency department operates within a community hospital setting with a 9-bed unit and a daily census of approximately 40 patients. The facility is both STEMI and Stroke certified, providing a high level of cardiac and neurological emergency care. Interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services are available to support the clinical team in delivering comprehensive patient care.
