Opportunity:

OT - Occupational Therapy

Job Details:

* Work 4 ten-hour shifts per day, scheduled from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
* Variable 10-hour days with 6 weekend days per schedule
* Every other full weekend required, or one weekend day per week
* No holiday requirements
* 8-week schedule with requests considered, no self-scheduling
* Treat 8-10 patients per day in an acute inpatient care setting
* Cover all medical floors (ICU not mandatory), PACU, and ED
* Occasional need to float to another hospital within a 20-mile radius (infrequent)
* Common diagnoses include neurologic conditions (CVA, MS, Parkinson's, Guillain-Barr?, cranial and spinal surgeries), general medical, orthopedic (total joints, fractures), cardiac (pacers, CABG, valve replacements), and oncology
* Charting system: EPIC
* Work alongside 8-12 therapists per day with a manager on-site and on-call supervisor on weekends
* Minimum 1 year of acute care experience as a licensed therapist required; first-time travelers accepted
* Any color scrubs or business casual attire accepted
* Required certifications: BLS
* State licensure required
* BSN not required

This acute care hospital provides a comprehensive range of inpatient services across multiple medical floors, including PACU and emergency department coverage. The facility supports a diverse patient population spanning neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and oncology conditions, with a collaborative therapy team of up to 12 therapists working daily. The organization emphasizes structured scheduling and thorough onboarding, providing system orientation, documentation training, and department-specific orientation during the first 3-5 days.
