Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department
* Patient ratio of 1:4 on all shifts
* Weekend coverage required at least every other weekend
* No on-call responsibilities required
* Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
* Self-scheduling environment
* Candidate's home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* Trauma Level IV experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
* Required skills: General Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, and triage
* May float as needed to Anderson County Hospital
* Scrub color: Navy
* Treats patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off permitted
* Orientation: 12 hours

This critical access hospital operates a 7-bed emergency department seeing approximately 20 patient visits per day. The facility provides comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages, from infants through geriatrics, and is supported by interdisciplinary services including respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The organization utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains a self-scheduling model to support its clinical staff.
