Job Details:

* Weekend coverage runs Friday through Sunday
* Call required on a variable schedule - typically one weekday call per week and one weekend call every 5 to 6 weeks
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed, including to Main OR
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Charting system experience required; Epic system used
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Required skills include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid angioplasty, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Lobe resection, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Scrub Thoracic Surgery, Scrub Vascular Surgery, Thoracotomy, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), and Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD)
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services and interpretation services
* No self-scheduling; unit does not accept travel pairs and block schedules are not honored
* Holiday coverage is expected based on assignment period - if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work all applicable holidays; if three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two of them
* Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no schedule requests can be made post-offer or on-site
* Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract; no RTO can be requested during orientation week
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
