Open Position: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Opportunity:

RN Hospital, Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

* Day shift position with on-call responsibilities one night per week and one weekend per month
* Minimum 3 years of RN experience required with at least 1 year of critical care experience
* Cardiovascular intervention experience required
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
* Current WI or Compact RN licensure required
* Current BLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
* Must successfully pass EKG test
* Utilize nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
* Perform patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
* Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
* Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation in accordance with established standards of care
* Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy
* Provide patient and family education at the appropriate level of understanding
* Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities including shared governance
* Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, managing complex situations and delegating appropriately
* Escalate to the appropriate chain of command as needed
* Engage in personal development and continuous learning including developing or revising evidence-based practice guidelines
* Support and participate in peer review and peer feedback opportunities
