Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts in a Labor & Delivery unit
* Scheduling requirements include 3 weekend shifts, 1 call shift for RNs, and 3 twelve-hour shifts per scheduling period
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Travelers float first per floating policy
* Must have minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
* Care of the laboring patient and care of the newborn immediately after delivery required
* Must be able to circulate and recover cesarean section patients
* Procedures performed on unit include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor
* Documentation systems used: CPN and Meditach
* Unit staffing includes RNs, unit secretary, and OR techs
* Required certifications for RNs: NRP, ACLS, BLS, and AWHONN Intermediate (not advanced) or CEFM
* Dress code: Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray scrubs (not provided by hospital)
* Shared decision making required for patient experience

This facility is a well-established hospital housing a dedicated Women's and Children's building, offering comprehensive Labor & Delivery services. The unit features 12 beds and is supported by a collaborative team of RNs, unit secretaries, and OR technicians. The facility utilizes modern documentation systems and is committed to providing high-quality maternal and newborn care through evidence-based practices and shared decision making.
