Opportunity:

Wound Care RN (BSN)

Job Details:

* Work 5x8 shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
* No weekend requirements
* No on-call required
* No floating within the unit; floating to sister facilities on like units required
* Minimum 2 years of WOCN RN experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, WOCN (continence certification not required)
* Pediatric experience highly preferred
* Must be certified by WOCN for wound and ostomy care
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Facility will provide scrubs
* Parking pass available for a one-time payment of $20 (nights and weekends only)
* Block scheduling type
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include adult, pediatric, and mental health wound care, advanced wound care with NPWT (Negative Pressure Wound Therapy), fistula management, traumatic wounds, and ostomy care including colostomy, ileostomy, and urostomy
* Daily census of 150 with approximately 8 patient visits per day
* Key skills include wound assessment and management, pressure ulcer staging, debridement techniques, ostomy care and management, continence skin care, VAC therapy, and patient and family education
