Opportunity:
RN - Ambulatory
Job Details:
* Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting
* Support individuals and families across the continuum of care
* Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
* Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient responses
* Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and policy
* Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care
* Provide patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs
* Deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered care
* Apply independent nursing judgment and critical thinking to assess, plan, and prioritize patient care
* Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
* Facilitate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services
* Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record
* Advocate for patients and assist them in navigating the healthcare system
* Adhere to regulatory, safety, and infection prevention requirements
* Participate in quality and performance improvement activities
* Float to other departments or assignments as needed
* Active Alaska nursing license required at time of submittal
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
* Minimum 1 year of ambulatory or outpatient nursing experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA); Case Management certification preferred
* Must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility address
