Opportunity:
IR Tech - Pediatric Interventional Radiology
Job Details:
* 7 on/7 off schedule, Thursday through Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Weekend rotation every other weekend as part of 7 on/7 off schedule
* No on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; pediatric experience preferred
* First-time travelers will be considered
* Work exclusively with pediatric patients ages 0-18, covering all types and diagnoses
* Perform procedures including G/GJ tubes, biopsies, ultrasound guided procedures, myelograms, joint injections, abscess drains, and drain placements
* Assist with procedures in fluoroscopy room as needed
* Must be comfortable working independently as the sole IR/Procedural Tech
* No neuro angio, body angio, or biplane procedures required
* Will be cross-trained to general X-ray; recent experience not required but must be comfortable being trained and covering these duties when census is low
* May assist with procedures in CT but will not run the scanner
* Required certifications: ARRT-R, BLS, Washington state license
* EMR: EPIC | PACS: Change Healthcare | Med Dispensing: Pyxis
* Unit equipment: Siemens ArtisZee multipurpose room
* Scrub color: any color
* Parking: free garage and street parking available; local light rail may be preferred
Facility:
This facility is a newly built, 152-bed pediatric healthcare facility featuring 70 Level IV NICU beds and designated as a Level II pediatric trauma center. The facility is purpose-built to serve pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence and is equipped with modern technology and specialized units to support a wide range of diagnoses and procedures. The interventional radiology department operates with a dedicated multipurpose room and integrates with other imaging and procedural areas to deliver comprehensive care.
