Stepdown RN

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call requirements
* Holiday rotation required
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float required within the facility as needed, agency staff floats first
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Block schedule available upon request prior to assignment but not guaranteed
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Preferred certification: NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Scrub color: Royal blue
* Free parking available
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Key skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care and management, IV insulin protocols, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, isolation precautions and PPE, wound care and wound vac, and use of rapid response and code teams
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September

Facility:

This facility is a community hospital featuring a 12-bed stepdown unit designed to provide high-acuity intermediate care for adult and geriatric patients. The unit supports a wide range of complex medical needs and utilizes Epic as its charting system. The facility maintains consistent patient ratios and provides a structured environment with interdisciplinary support to ensure quality patient care.
