Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 hours per week guaranteed
* Schedule is based on unit needs with no block scheduling
* Minimum two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
* Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
* Current RN license in state of practice required
* Perform physical and psychosocial assessments of patients with consideration of age and cultural differences
* Initiate and maintain multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans for each patient
* Manage perinatal emergencies including crash C-sections, precipitous deliveries, and shoulder dystocia
* Assess fetal and maternal well-being, amniotic fluid status, and vaginal bleeding during Labor & Delivery
* Effectively manage pain control for laboring patients and support alternative pain control methods when appropriate
* Assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor fetal and maternal status during and after medication administration
* Circulate for C-Sections as needed
* Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice
* Provide care to patients and families during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods including emergency situations
