Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 13-week assignment
* 5x8 variable shift schedule
* 72 guaranteed hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for one 8-hour shift per 2 weeks
* Weekend rotation required
* No on-call requirements
* Block scheduling available
* Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience required
* Certifications preferred: CBSPD, CSPDT, IAHCSMM/HSPA, or NBSTSA
* Required skills: Orthopedics, Neurology, and Robotics
* Additional skills required include: acute hospital OR, cleaning equipment (crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps), high-level disinfection, use of washers/sterilizers, case cart, proper selection of wrapping materials, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets/tray assembly, equipment documentation, biological and chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), endoscopes, scope/probe reprocessing, loaner trays, trauma, and instructions for use
* Charting system: Epic (any charting system experience preferred)
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of submittal
* Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
