Medical Assistant - Outpatient Clinic

Job Details:

* Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient clinic setting required
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
* High school diploma or GED required
* Proficiency with blood draws required
* Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
* No weekend shifts required
* Floating required externally to Rheumatology, Neurology, and Endocrinology
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Required skills include: administering medication, blood glucose via glucometer, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, obtaining vital signs, venipuncture, rooming patients, telephone triage, immunizations, insurance verification, pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, urine dipstick/urinalysis, pulse oximetry, recording history/medications/allergies, and reviewing lab tests
