Open Position: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, plus call responsibilities
* Call requirement of approximately 10-11 days per month including 1 weekend with a 30-minute response time
* Float between two campuses: Bryan Campus (home base) and College Station Campus
* Work in a facility with 4 cath labs, primarily running 3 rooms at one time with 5-15 cases per day
* Perform and assist with cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization patient care
* EP cases include ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations (A-Flutter, SVT, A-Fib)
* Circulating RNs circulate and monitor cases with 3 people per case during the day
* Hemodynamic monitoring system used is GE MacLab/Combo Lab; all staff are cross-trained to monitor cases
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* Pre or post-op experience preferred; IR experience including emergent stroke cases is helpful
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 3 designation and features a robust cardiac catheterization program with 4 cath labs running multiple cases daily. The facility provides a comprehensive range of procedures including cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and EP cases, supported by a skilled team of circulating RNs, scrub techs, and monitoring staff. The organization maintains separate areas for specialized procedures, ensuring focused and high-quality patient care across departments.
