Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend requirements unless holiday call falls on a weekend
* Block scheduling available
* Weekend call is optional
* Holiday coverage is required on-call only
* Post-shift call is optional
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours)
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Float required to Torrance and OP Center locations
* Must be comfortable working independently as the only NMT on shift
* Low volume, low acuity environment with routine nuclear medicine cases
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* 1:1 patient ratio
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* GE XELERIS experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Will accept either NMTCB or CNMT certification
* Required certifications: BLS, NMTCB or CNMT
* Required skills include: 3 Phase, Abdominal, Adenosine infusion, Bone, Brain, Cancer Survey, Captopril, Cerebral Blood Flow, DTPA Aerosol, Exercise/Rest, Flow/Function, Liver Imaging, Perfusion, Persantine Infusion, PET Scan, Pharmacological Stress, Renal, Sestamibi parathyroid scan, Starting and maintaining IVs, Storing/Handling/Disposal of Radioactive Materials, Thallium stress test, Ventilation/Perfusion, and Whole Body
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
* 16 orientation hours required

This is a basic community hospital with a small nuclear medicine team offering routine nuclear medicine cases in a low volume, low acuity setting. The facility provides transportation as interdisciplinary support and operates a single nuclear medicine room. The organization maintains high standards for independent work, requiring nuclear medicine technologists to function as the sole NMT on shift while supporting multiple outpatient locations.
