Open Position: Social Worker - Licensed Social Worker

Job Details:

* Work 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
* Work every other weekend, including both Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 7 patients
* Float between sister hospital ED (Holy Family Hospital) to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Work in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room department
* Conduct crisis risk assessments and mental health evaluations for adults and pediatric patients
* Evaluate patients for level of risk for danger to self, danger to others, or grave disability
* Provide level of care recommendations as a consultant directed by an ED attending provider or APP
* Perform biopsychosocial assessments and crisis intervention
* Work with patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorder
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
* Facilitate discharge and contingency planning
* Must be licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker full licensure required; associate license will not suffice
* Minimum of 1 year of experience required; 3 years preferred
* Hospital experience preferred
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Required certifications: LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC
* Epic charting system experience required
* Washington state license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, as well as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, with 629 staffed beds. It operates as a teaching hospital and utilizes Epic for charting. The facility provides comprehensive emergency services for both adult and pediatric populations and offers no-cost parking for staff.
