Opportunity:
PT - Physical Therapy
Job Details:
* Active Alaska license required at time of submission
* Provide general Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments impacting patient functional abilities
* Treat patients across a wide range of ages with varying diagnoses and conditions
* Perform assessments, evaluations, therapy diagnoses, and formulate individualized treatment plans
* Implement, supervise, and modify therapy plans of care based on ongoing patient assessment
* Work with both inpatient and outpatient populations in various settings as assigned
* Review clinical records and case histories to inform treatment decisions
* Attend care conferences, rounds, and maintain communication with referring providers and healthcare team members
* Collaborate with team members to arrange appropriate medical equipment and establish care plans prior to discharge
* Document patient encounter findings, treatments, diagnoses, treatment plans, recommendations, and prognoses
* Develop, implement, and conduct patient education and therapy programs based on patient and family needs
* Provide patients and families with clear home exercise programs and ensure comprehension through feedback and return demonstration
* Assist in acquisition and fitting of durable medical equipment and devices based on patient needs
* Oversee and direct the work of Physical Therapist Assistants, support staff, students, or interns
* Educate staff on PT-related issues and patient/family on functional limitations and therapeutic goals
* Adhere to regulatory and practice standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
* Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehabilitation required
* Entry level qualifying master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
* Valid driver's license required
* Must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility address
