Opportunity:

Cardiovascular Sonographer - Echo

Job Details:

* Day shift position with flexible scheduling options: either 5 eight-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) or 4 ten-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) depending on lab needs
* No on-call or standby requirements
* Occasional weekend coverage rotation may be requested
* No holiday requirements
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Perform adult echocardiograms exclusively with no float coverage to other areas
* Average of 8 studies per day in one-hour slots
* Perform image enhancing agent studies, shunt (bubble) studies, and STRAIN imaging
* Prepare preliminary reports for physician review
* Use of Philips Epiq 7 and GE Vivid E95 echo equipment
* Charting system: EPIC; reporting system: ISCV
* IV skills beneficial but not required
* Scrubs not required to be a specific color; personal scrubs are acceptable
* Clinical orientation provided by preceptor and lead sonographer
* Required certifications: BLS, and one of the following: ARDMS, RCS, RDMS, or RDCS (Adult Echocardiography)
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive cardiovascular imaging department featuring 12 total scanning rooms. The department utilizes advanced imaging technology and is supported by dedicated lead sonographers who provide clinical oversight and orientation for new staff. The facility uses EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains high standards for diagnostic cardiac imaging services.
