Opportunity:

Telemetry- WC-Surgical/Neuro 4th Floor

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch break
* Night shifts, every other weekend requirement
* 2 weekends per 4-week schedule required
* Holiday requirement: work 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving
* Patient ratio of 1:5 on 48-bed unit (two units 4A and 4B)
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
* Navy blue scrubs required
* Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips
* Experience with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA and TIA preferred
* Cerner charting system experience recommended
* Care for patients with COVID, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general/orthopedic/spinal surgical patients
* Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, sign at least once per shift
* Administer set rate drips such as Diltiazem
* Work with respiratory equipment including BiPap, CPAP, high flow, and breathing treatments
* May float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
* First to float policy applies
* One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
* 4-week self-scheduling used, balanced by manager
* No call or standby requirements
* BSN not required
