Opportunity:

Dermatology Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Job Details:

* 5x8-hour shift schedule, Monday through Friday with weekends off
* 13-week contract
* No on-call requirements
* No weekend shifts required
* May be required to float to West Seattle, Bellevue, and Issaquah locations for staffing coverage as needed
* Must have reliable personal transportation - public transportation is not acceptable
* Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential required; MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT credentials are not accepted
* Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult/pediatric outpatient clinic setting required
* Dermatology setting experience preferred
* EPIC charting experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Scrub color: Any
* Required skills include:
- Obtaining vital signs
- Patient positioning and draping
- Recording patient history, medications, and allergies
- Biopsy assistance
- Dressing changes
- Setting up aseptic/sterile procedure trays
- Labeling of specimens
- Aseptic technique
- Rooming patients
- Suture removal
- Wound care

Facility:

This dermatology clinic provides specialized outpatient skin care services to patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. The facility performs procedures including biopsies and surgical excisions, utilizing EPIC as its primary charting system. The clinic operates with a patient-centered approach, seeing approximately 25 patients per day, and offers a temp-to-hire opportunity for qualified candidates looking to establish a long-term professional home.
