Opportunity:

RN - Ortho/Trauma

Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour shifts per schedule period
* Three weekend shifts required per schedule period
* 48 guaranteed hours approved for travelers
* Patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5
* Unit staffed with Unit Secretary and Patient Care Technicians
* Document patient care using Meditech system
* Provide bedside shift report and perform hourly rounding
* Work with equipment including traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
* Care for post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients as well as trauma patients and some neuro overflow
* Contract labor is first to float and may float to other MedSurg level of care units including General Med/Surg, Nephrology, and Neuro/Trauma
* RN license and BLS certification required
* Ortho experience required
* Telemetry and NIH stroke scale experience required
* Navy scrubs required

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center offering advanced care across a wide range of specialties. The 23-bed Ortho/Trauma unit provides comprehensive orthopedic and trauma care supported by a full team including unit secretaries and patient care technicians. The facility maintains high standards for patient experience through structured practices such as bedside shift reporting and hourly rounding.
