RN Med Surg- Days

Job Details:

* Day shift position with 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
* 48 hours straight time is allowed
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
* No on-call requirements
* Floating to like units required as needed
* Self-scheduling
* 32-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
* 1 year of recent Med Surg experience required
* Unit accepts first-time travelers
* Epic charting system used
* Required certifications: BLS
* CPI preferred
* Rapid response team activation experience required
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA, feeding tube care and management, heparin, high flow nasal cannula, insulin, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, and wound care/wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
