Family Medicine MA-C
Job Details:
* 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekends)
* 13-week contract length
* No on-call requirements
* No weekend requirements
* Must be willing to float between the Downtown Seattle clinic and Central Seattle clinic depending on clinic staffing needs
* Work in a team-based approach with MA to clinician ratios varying between 1:1 and 1:2, assisting with covering breaks and supporting team across both clinic locations
* Fast-paced clinic environment
* Perform rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, recording history/medications/allergies, and scheduling appointments
* Administer medications, immunizations, TB tests, and perform intradermal and intramuscular injections
* Conduct blood glucose monitoring via glucometer, obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG, and perform pulse oximetry
* Complete procedures including ear lavage, nebulizer treatments, pap smears, biopsy setup, and aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup
* Perform diagnostic testing including strep, throat cultures, urinalysis, urine dipstick, vision testing, and hearing screenings
* Handle pharmacy calls, patient refill requests, follow-up phone calls, and telephone triage
* Label specimens, stock supplies, and prepare charts
* Serve patients of all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) required
* Internal Medicine experience preferred; Family Medicine, Adult, or Pediatric Outpatient setting experience required
* Must be a certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT credentials are not accepted
* EPIC charting experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Scrub color: Any color
* This is a temp-to-hire opportunity; candidates must be willing and able to join the clinic permanently at the end of the contract if presented with an offer
* Local candidates only; must reside within 30 miles of the clinic
