Opportunity:

Interventional Radiology Tech / Cardiology

Job Details:

* 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
* Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred
* Neuro and vascular interventional experience required
* Required procedures include biopsies, peripheral procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, stroke procedures, kyphoplasty, and nephrogram procedures
* Department serves adult and geriatric patients with approximately 10 cases per day
* 3-room Interventional Radiology department
* Weekday back-up call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM Monday through Friday
* Weekend call can be primary or back-up, running 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Sunday; same applies for holidays
* No regular weekend requirement; weekend call is required
* Float within scope of practice required; Radiology may float to an affiliate hospital nearby
* IR Techs may wear any color scrubs
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT-R
* Active Maryland RT license required
* ARRT-VI and fluoroscopy permit preferred
* Siemens experience preferred; Philips, Toshiba, and GE equipment also used
* Cerner charting system experience preferred
* Skills include angioplasty, embolization, TIPS, IVC filter placement, PICC lines, nephrostomy, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, carotid stenting, and additional interventional radiology procedures
* Pre-approved time off: up to 14 days auto-approved; no RTO approved on holidays or hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day
