L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend requirement with 12 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* 11-bed/11-room LDRP unit providing couplet care
* Most newborns will room in with parents as facility provides couplet care
* Candidate must be able to care for laboring patients, couplet care, and triage
* 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
* Required skills include: assist with circumcision/assess site post-op, assist with vaginal delivery, breastfeeding and lactation support, cesarean section, couplet care, episiotomy/incisional care, infant identification, labor & delivery, LDRP, mother/baby, newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia, phototherapy, recover C-section, thermoregulation, triage of obstetrical patients, and vaginal delivery
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs

This facility operates an LDRP unit with 11 beds and rooms, providing comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The unit emphasizes a family-centered approach with couplet care, allowing most newborns to room in with their parents. Interdisciplinary support services including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams are available to support patient care needs.
