Opportunity:

Labor & Delivery RN

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shift schedule with no on-call responsibilities
* Weekend coverage required
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced
* California state license required in-hand when applying
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* Pre-approved time off: one block of time off per contract; no RTO within first two weeks of assignment
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Skills include labor and delivery, triage of obstetrical patients, external fetal heart monitoring, C-section circulation and recovery, sterile vaginal exams, antepartum and high-risk antepartum care, neonatal resuscitation, breastfeeding and lactation support, and wound assessment and care
* Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, prostaglandins, antihypertensives, and other obstetric medications required
* Ability to maintain central lines, manage insulin drips, administer blood and blood products, and use infusion pumps required
* Experience with HELLP syndrome, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, placenta previa, preterm labor, multiple gestation, and other high-risk obstetric conditions preferred

This facility is a community-level hospital offering labor and delivery services with an average of 100 to 200 facility births per month. The unit supports a wide range of obstetric and neonatal care, including high-risk antepartum, C-section, and neonatal resuscitation services. The organization is committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to support both mothers and newborns throughout their care journey.
