Open Position: Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Opportunity:

Operating Room - CVOR Tech 10HR - DAYS

Job Details:

* Day shift, 10-hour shifts
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* On-call required with 2-3 calls per week and at least 1 weekend per month (24 hours - Saturday and Sunday)
* Monday through Friday schedule with one varying off day; on-call required
* Weekend requirement: Yes
* Open to accommodating block schedule
* 1 pre-approved time off request allowed per contract
* Specialty focus on cardiovascular surgery (CVOR) with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
* Types of cases required: General and Neuro Surgery
* Types of cases preferred: Cardiovascular
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Scrub experience required
* Strong scrub technique required with proficiency in aseptic technique, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, and universal protocol
* Experience with CVOR procedures including CABG, mitral valve replacement, TAVR, carotid angioplasty, femoral popliteal bypass graft, pericardial window, and arteriovenous fistula repair preferred
* Hybrid OR experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, CST (NBSTSA strongly preferred)
* Maryland or Compact license must be active and in hand at submission
* Two supervisor references required
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Facility is tobacco-free; candidates must be nicotine-free (no cigarettes, vapes, gum, patches, etc.)

This acute care hospital operates 12 operating rooms and maintains 178 staffed beds, providing a full range of surgical services including general, neuro, and cardiovascular surgery. The facility utilizes Cerner for charting and offers complimentary parking for staff.
