Job Details:

* Night shift position located at the Heart Hospital, functioning as a cardiac stepdown unit with a significant cardiac patient population
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 48 hours straight time
* Patient ratios of 1:4-5
* Weekend requirement: As needed, rotating
* Floating to like units within scope required as needed
* No on-call requirement
* Block scheduling considered on a case by case basis
* Self-scheduling
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit has 55 beds with a daily census of 38
* Primary patient diagnoses include CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and cardiovascular-related conditions
* Cardiovascular experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred
* First time travelers accepted
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; CPI preferred
* Scrub color: Any (no logo)
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drip management and titration, post cardiac angiogram, post MI care, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, procedural sedation, sheath removal, telemetry monitoring, wound care/wound vac, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
