Opportunity:

LVN - OBGYN Outpatient Clinic

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
* No weekend shifts required
* Floating required to other OBGYN outpatient clinics as needed
* No on-call requirements
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic experience required with at least 1 year of OBGYN clinic experience
* California LVN license required and must be active at time of submission
* Valid CA IV certification required
* Required certifications: BLS, IV Certification, and Phlebotomy Certification
* Proficiency with blood and lab draws and venipuncture required
* Experience with Epic charting system preferred
* Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Focus on women's reproductive health including pregnancy-related conditions and diagnoses
* Experience with the following OBGYN procedures required: PAP, Colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST
* Required skills include: blood glucose monitoring, IM and SQ injections, interpretation of laboratory results, isolation precautions and PPE, labeling of specimens, medication reconciliation, obtaining and instructing clean catch urine, pain assessment and management, pap smears, patient health questionnaire and history and allergies, pharmacy calls and patient refill requests, phlebotomy, pregnancy-induced hypertension management, spontaneous abortion care, starting and maintaining IVs, telephone triage, vaccine administration, vaginal bleeding care, vaginal specimen collection, and vital sign monitoring
* Secondary OBGYN questionnaire required at time of submission
* 2 references from within the past year of employment required at time of submission; must be supervisor or higher

The clinics maintain high standards of patient care and utilize Epic as their electronic health record system.
