Job Details:
* Work 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday
* Will work every 5th weekend
* On-call required: Short call (4 hours at the end of a shift) once per week
* On-call hours do not count towards guaranteed minimum hours
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Block scheduling available
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, Fluoro Permit, CET
* Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
* Scrubs provided by unit
* Operate and work with Affera PFA systems and Biosense Webster RFA systems
* Required equipment experience: Intracardiac electrogram recording and pacing systems, therapeutic ablation systems, electrosurgical units, emergency equipment (TPMs, AEDs), and GE CardioLab
* Perform and assist with invasive diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablations, pacemaker insertions, ICD insertions, laser lead extractions, and Watchman devices
* Perform EP studies including scrubbing device implants and hemodynamic monitoring
* Maintain sterile field as room circulator and scrub technician
* Perform EKG lead placement and accurate baseline measurements
* Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond accordingly
* Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby as needed
* Required skills: Cardiac ablation, conduction studies, insertion/programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and understanding of sterile technique and cardiac anatomy
Facility:
This short-term acute care facility is a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III Trauma certification. The facility operates 672 staffed beds and houses a 4-room electrophysiology unit with a daily census of 20 patients. The organization provides a comprehensive range of cardiac services and maintains high standards of patient care across multiple disciplines.
