Opportunity:

RN - Trauma/Surgical ICU

Job Details:

* Trauma/Surgical experience required
* Level 1 Trauma experience required
* Pulmonary Artery (PA) Lines experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
* Travel experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Preferred certifications: TNCC, CCRN
* Patient ratio is 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 36 orientation hours required
* May float to ICU and PCU
* Will be expected to work 3 of 5 winter holidays
* Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Care for patients with traumatic injuries including MVCs, penetrating wounds, and falls, as well as cancer surgery, liver transplants, perforated bowels, and necrotizing fasciitis
* Required skills include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Pulmonary Artery/Swan Ganz monitoring, surgical intensive care, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
* Compliance requirements include: BLS, ACLS, EKG onboarding exam, NIHSS, Advanced Math exam, Med/Pharmacology exam, General ICU Competency exam, Trauma ICU Competency exam, General ICU skills, Trauma ICU skills, and CORE exams
* Compact or Kentucky state license required at time of submission
* At least 1 reference required at time of submission

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering specialized care for a wide range of traumatic injuries and complex surgical cases. The unit consists of 12 rooms and 10 beds, supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams. The facility maintains high compliance standards and provides a dynamic, high-acuity environment focused on trauma and surgical intensive care.
