Job Details:

* Work 5x8 hour shifts with start times of 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:45 PM
* On-call required as needed for the department
* Weekend coverage required as needed
* Floating within scope required as needed to meet facility needs
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
* Required work setting experience: CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR
* Perform and assist with required case types including CVOR, spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics
* XI robotics experience preferred
* Facility operates 20 OR rooms with 40-50 cases per day
* Required cardiovascular case skills: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
* Required vascular case skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous Fistula repair, Carotid Angioplasty, Carotid Artery Stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), and Vein Stripping
* Required thoracic case skills: Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, Lung Resection Thoracotomy, and VATS
* Required professional knowledge and skills: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure

Facility:

This acute care teaching hospital operates 317 staffed beds and holds a Level 3 Trauma designation. The facility features 20 operating rooms handling 40-50 cases per day across a wide range of surgical specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, and robotic surgery. The organization utilizes Epic (Excellian) as its charting system and maintains a high standard of surgical care supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team.
